This year, the Visegrad Film Forum joined forces with FAMUFEST and brings together an interesting program. Don’t miss the warm-up in Prague and see you from March 19th in Bratislava!

FAMUFEST is a multi-genre film festival organized annually by the students of the Film and Television Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague. It allows audiences outside of the FAMU environment to see the latest works by students. One of the festival’s long-term goals is to introduce new talents to the cultural public, who will co-create the future of Czech cinematography, television production, photography, and other media.

The 41st edition will revolve around the theme of the happy end. The festival’s creators aim to highlight the saturation of today’s world with heavy themes, often focusing on negative motives. They draw attention to the deteriorating mental health of contemporary generations. How can films help us unwind, escape reality, and forget about unpleasant things? Why do films end the way they do? How should a film end, and what will our happy end be? These questions and their answers will guide audiences throughout the festival, whether on the cinema screens or through accompanying activities.

Thanks to collaboration with Visegrad Film Forum, FAMUFEST will bring to Prague even more international guests and will be perfect warm up before Visegrad Film Forum in Bratislava starts. FAMUFEST starts on March 5 and will be till March 9.
